Homewood Youth Cheerleaders are a dynamic group of girls who are excited to cheer for the Homewood Youth Football league. HYC is a community cheerleading program for girls in grades 1 through 6 who live in Homewood and/or attend Homewood Schools. The girls are organized into 5 squads by grade level. Girls cheer for the Homewood youth football teams in their grade level throughout the fall. They also participate in the We Love Homewood Day Parade each May, and in the Homewood Christmas Parade each December.
Homewood Youth Cheerleading supports Homewood Youth Football teams competing in the Jefferson-Shelby Youth Football League through Homewood Park and Recreation. HYC is operated by parent volunteers. Cheerleaders are encouraged to work together as a team and to have a great time cheering together.
